Review

Tiki BingoTake one look at the home page of Tiki Bingo and you’ll see that they’ve worked hard to put as much fun as they can into their online bingo offering. Whilst some sites like to adopt a very serious and “grown up” image, Tiki Bingo employ bright colours and cartoon characters to make you smile instantly. It’s a well-designed feel-good site and we were hopeful that the same attitude would be carried all the way through the Tiki Bingo experience.

We weren’t disappointed. After downloading the Tiki Bingo software and signing up for a new account (tasks which took up no more than two minutes of our time) we were ready to choose a bingo game and get started. Both pattern bingo (75 ball) and traditional bingo (90 ball) are offered here, and cards start from $0.01 for the former and $0.30 for the latter. Bonus cards are awarded when you buy in bulk, up to a maximum of 35 additional free cards when you buy 100. No matter which type of game you choose, the playing environment and features mentioned in the rest of this review are virtually identical.

The main gaming screen can be viewed in a window or as a full screen display, and the central portion is dominated by the bingo cards themselves. A numbers board, which shows all of the numbers that have been called, is positioned on the left of the screen. The right of the screen provides general details about the game you are playing, such as the pattern you are aiming for (in 75 ball games) and the amount of prize money on offer. Prizes vary according to the cost of the cards, but progressive jackpots are also available should you win before a certain number of balls have appeared in the numbers board.

The great Tiki Bingo visuals we saw on the home page are exceeded in the game itself, and great audio provides the player with a complete multi-media experience. The numbers are called audibly, as you would expect these days, but at Tiki Bingo they are called by the Tiki cartoon characters themselves. We like that, but those who don’t can choose to mute the voices at the click of a mouse button. Chat takes place in a pop up window, and is invariably friendly and polite. CMs are very welcoming, so say hello and expect to be immersed in conversation within a matter of minutes.

A good selection of non-bingo games to play between sessions, along with valuable promotions for new and existing members, round off what is – in our opinion – a delightful online bingo experience. We take out hats off to Tiki Bingo and recommend it highly to anyone who isn’t afraid of letting their hair down and having fun as they play.
