Think Bingo Plus

Review

Think Bingo PlusThink Bingo Plus is described as “the naughty little sister” of the original Think Bingo site. We would say that it’s more like a straightforward clone, with only a few distinguishing features added, and even these take some finding. The home page of Think Bingo Plus is very similar to that of Think Bingo (maybe the designer had a day off?) with animated bingo balls in the centre of the screen showing details of the previous day’s biggest winner. More general information about the site and promotions, along with access to a discussion forum, are available via tabs across the top of the screen…. as opposed to vertically down the left at Think Bingo.

The registration process at Think Bingo Plus is the same as at Think Bingo (surprise, surprise!) and requires you to enter you usual name, address, payment information and e-mail address. You won’t need to download any software as Think Bingo Plus is played via your web browser. Opening a new account and being ready to play therefore takes just a minute or two.

Whereas Think Bingo rewards members with Think Points, Think Bingo Plus does something astonishingly different and rewards them with Plus Points. Although the reward scheme is in fact identical, it has been given a brand new name to deceive the masses – hopefully we haven’t let the cat out of the bag there! Basically, players earn 1 point for every 10p spent on cards, or 5,000 points for referring a friends. New members also receive 1,000 just for signing up. Plus Points can be used to purchase bingo cards, so by signing up you’ll have enough points for a few free games on the house (no pun intended).

Think Bingo Plus offers 75 ball pattern bingo and 90 ball traditional bingo, and cards start at 10p each. The site is currently very young and so some games are only open at peak times. The number of players here during the daytime is quite small, but for the optimists among you, that should translate to more frequent wins – albeit of modest prizes unless you manage to hit a progressive jackpot.

In terms of the gaming environment, there isn’t anything to moan about here. The cards and chat take centre stage, with miscellaneous game information provided in the space left over. Chat itself is friendly, though some players may feel a bit shy stepping into a virtual chat room with just a dozen others to talk to. If this describes you, bite the bullet by saying hello and you’ll be fine.

And now, at last, a real difference between Think Bingo Plus and Think Bingo – mini games. Yes! Think Bingo Plus offers you the chance to play slot machines, video poker and a small selection of other games in addition to bingo! We won’t mention that other sites have been doing this for years, or that some of them have a wider selection of games to choose from, but they have and they do.

If you’re looking for another site to play at because you want to add an extra promotional bonus to your portfolio, Think Bingo Plus is as good a site as any. But if you’re already a member of the original Think Bingo site, you won’t notice a great deal of difference.
