The new account registration and download tasks are integrated into one smooth, straightforward process. Enter your e-mail address on the home page to start the ball rolling, download the software when prompted and then provide your other personal details (a username and password of your choice, etc.) whilst you are waiting for the download to complete. Then fire up the Geisha Bingo software and you’re ready to play! The Walk and Chat software represents you on screen as an animated character. You begin with your character in a main lobby, from which you can choose to enter a specific bingo room. Inside the room, other players will already be seated at tables. To join them you simply select your seat and your character will be ready to play. This graphical environment adds a great sense of immersion to the whole bingo experience, and even takes the chat to new levels. Whilst we’re on the subject, chat takes place via a window which appears when you take a seat, and the players (and moderators) here are friendly and welcoming. The game at Geisha Bingo is pattern bingo, which uses 75 balls. As well as traditional patterns that we all know and love (numbers, simple shapes, etc.) Geisha Bingo features some more unusual patterns, and these keep things interesting throughout. Cards start from just $0.05 each, and if big money is your bag you’ll be pleased to hear that, as well as the usual cash prizes, progressive jackpots are also on offer. The screen is well designed, giving you a clear view of your cards and other important items of information. Numbers are called by a very proper sounding gentleman. Whilst the majority of online bingo players will spend most of their time in one of the bingo rooms there are other rooms you can venture into. These offer a variety of mini-games, including slot machines (three-reel, five-reel, and those offering progressive jackpots) and video poker. All of these games are well implemented with great graphics and immersive sound effects. In fact sometimes you’ll forget you’re playing online! Overall, we like Geisha Bingo. We would point out that there are very few references to the “geisha” concept once you’ve fired up the software, but the bingo, chat and mini games here provide an entertaining and enjoyable experience even without that thematic touch.
