Crown
Bingo is an online bingo site that was launched in 2005 and has been
slow to offer anything of note that sets it apart from the competition.
For a long time players could only play 90 the ball game at Crown Bingo,
and although the 75 ball game has recently been introduced, there is
nothing here that you can’t find elsewhere.
You don’t need to download any software to play at Crown Bingo as all the games are played in your web browser. At the time of writing, new players get £1 just for signing up (no deposit required) which is enough to play a few games, as tickets cost from 1p each. You’ll also get a 100% deposit match up to £250 when you make your first Crown Bingo deposit, though whether you’ll choose to do so after spending your free cash is another matter entirely.
The Crown Bingo lobby shows five bingo rooms, but unless you happen to show up at the right time at least one or two will be closed. The busiest room tends to be the one selling tickets at the lowest price. Other lobby elements include a notice board that displays information about the current bingo schedule, a scrolling wall sign shows you how much the Crown Bingo jackpots are worth and a PC monitor that allows you to obtain contact details for customer support.
As far as the Crown Bingo gaming environment is concerned, the most unique feature is the fact that numbers are called clearly and professionally by Karl Seth (Bingo Caller of the Year 2005). Apart from that, everything is fairly predictable. Tickets are displayed on the right hand side of the screen and a chat window on the left allows you to communicate with other players. A numbers board at the top of the screen shows which numbers have already been drawn.
You can play tournament and team bingo at Crown Bingo, and other gaming options include roulette, slot machines, scratch cards and progressive slots. Unfortunately, none of these things are able to make Crown Bingo anything more than average.
If you’re the kind of player who wants to play bingo for the sake of playing bingo then Crown Bingo might well be worth a visit. However, if you’re someone who wants the maximum possible entertainment for your buck, we suggest you set your sites a bit higher and take a look at one of the many alternatives.
