The tone is set on the home page, with a life preserver forming part of the Bingo Liner logo at the top left of the screen. The rest of the screen is divided fairly equally between announcing the latest sign-up promotions, providing a table of the latest winners, giving details of the progressive jackpots currently on offer and demonstrating the site’s innovative “Walk And Chat” software, which we will discuss in more detail in a moment. Before we get to that, we first need to sign up for a new account. To do this, just enter your e-mail address and download the software. Once downloaded, you will be invited to provide the usual personal details, including your name, address and credit card details if you want to take advantage of the latest promotional offer right from the start. With the preliminaries taken care of, you can start using the software. The Walk And Chat system represents you on screen as an avatar – a well drawn image which, as the name of the software suggests, walks and talks. You navigate around a virtual bingo hall as if you were a computer game character, climbing the steps of the cruise ship to the bingo rooms on the top deck, choosing the appropriate door (depending on the kind of game you want to play) and entering. This virtual environment continues as you play bingo itself. You sit down at a table (which may or may not be occupied by other players), buy your cards for the game and see them appear in front of you. You can chat with everyone else in the room as you play, and because you can also see tiny representations of other player’s cards, the tension as the colour of the cards change (according to how close a player is to winning) is almost palpable. Should you want to try something different between main bingo games, there are adjacent rooms on the ship to explore. These offer a variety of slot machines and mini games, and give you yet more opportunities to meet and chat with fellow players. Overall, BingoLiner offers a very enjoyable bingo experience. We may not be able to go on a real life cruise dedicated to bingo, but the Bingo Liner site provides us with the next best thing! Play BingoLiner Now |
