Wink Bingo to sell to 888

News hit the internet yesterday that one of the best online bingo sites, Wink Bingo, is to sell to 888 but what does this mean for online bingo players? The likelihood is that there won’t be any changes to the game play or banking at Wink Bingo simply because this great site is powered by the impressive 888/Dragonfish/Globalcom bingo software anyway. However, could we see a change to the world of online bingo with so many brands soon to be sitting under the 888 hat?

Wink Bingo isn’t the only name in online bingo to be included in the sale, Daub Ltd, the company behind Wink, also own Posh Bingo and Bingo Fabulous. Posh Bingo underwent a transformation not so long ago, previously part of a bingo network it was moved to be a standalone site. With the change came television advertising and the site quickly became another well known bingo brand from the people behind Wink Bingo.

With PartyGaming acquiring the brands under the Cashcade hat recently there have been some quite significant acquisitions of late and we could be set to see a big online bingo battle ensue as the big operators in the industry race to become number one!

888Ladies is the well known of the 888 bingo brands although a recent network launch has put 888 Bingo on the map. How will Wink Bingo fit into the 888 camp? All of this will become apparent over the coming months but like the sale of Foxy Bingo to PartyGaming, we don’t envisage there being any major changes in the foreseeable future or disruption to the online bingo service that you currently receive from Wink Bingo.
