Wink Bingo faux pas

When it comes to bingo promotions and prizes we have already pointed out that all too often an offer from some online bingo sites may not be of interest to men. Understandable some might say with women being the biggest demographic when it comes to playing bingo online and offline but Wink Bingo made a huge faux pas this weekend with their ‘Yummy Mummy’ promotion!

We have been shown evidence of blatant discrimination by Wink Bingo when it comes to this promotion and whilst we understand that Mothers Day is all about the Mums, it shouldn’t discount sons in favour of daughters!

The promotion from Wink Bingo was split into many different sections but the one that the biggest issue arose on was the ‘You Win – So Does Your Mum’ section.

As you can see from the image above there is absolutely no mention of a son and mother playing in the same room together so the 'help'room at Wink Bingo was visited and the question posed 'Is the promotion only for Mothers and daughters' to which the response was received 'ya thats only for mothers and daughters'

The response from the member of the Wink Bingo help team was more than a little bit astounding with the chap following on with this drivel 'Mothers Days its only for mothers and daughters and for fathers day, that will be fathers and sons' - talk about absolutely ridiculous! Mothers actually give birth to boys as well as girls, as fathers also father girls as well as boys! Should a Mother be penalised for only ever giving birth to a male child or a father for only producing female children?

Now the Wink Bingo faux pas was actually bought to our attention by Lee, the chap we interviewed for our 'Sexist Online Bingo prizes' article - talk about timing on the part of Wink Bingo!
