When did bingo get sexy?

Sexy BingoWe all know that sex sells, it does not matter how bad the product or service is, slap an attractive woman or a well toned man on the advert and success is pretty much guaranteed. Traditionally though bingo was the exception it was a game for grey haired old grannies wagering their pension over a cup of tea. Somewhere along the line though these too worlds have merged and we find ourselves asking "When did bingo get sexy?"

Over the past five or six year’s online bingo has taken over from the more traditional bingo halls. The advancements in the internet and modern technology means the game is now accessible by a wider audience, people of all ages, from all walks of life, with all levels of disposable income have come together to make the game more youthful, more fun and a lot more acceptable. Head into any bingo chat room and you will find people flirting and enjoying adult humour and some bingo sites actively encourage this behaviour with adult themed nights, adult chat games and risqué prizes.

This week though things seemed to have taken another step towards a sexier image with Issue one of Joy Magazine, a free publication that dropped through our letterbox to promote some of the biggest names in the industry including Posh Bingo, Wink Bingo and the fruity new Tasty Bingo. Looking on the front cover of this magazine you would have no idea its bingo related, there is an image of sexy lady (no bingo wings in sight) along with details of the contents; The overall image gives it more the feel of something you would get from Ann Summers rather then a bingo site.

Flicking through the magazine you will find some good bingo related articles and special promotional codes you can use for free play bingo along with quizzes, horoscopes and gossip. The trouble is all of this useful information is interlaced with more adult material including a ten step guide advising you how you can get more o's into orgasms.

Don't get us wrong we all love a bit of light hearted humour but some times you just get the feeling things are going too far, this is not the type of magazine you could leave on the coffee table and most definitely not the type of publication you would want to accidentally fall into the hands of kids, online bingo should be fun, not something you have to hide away.
