The Biggest Win in Bingo History

They say that so far the biggest win recorded in the history of bingo was won by a cleaner from South Lanarkshire. The mother of four went away with £1.2 million at the Club 3000 bingo hall in Coatbridge. It is thought that this could be the biggest win on bingo ever.

The generous winner has already agreed to give half her winnings to her neighbour and fellow bingo companion, Mrs O’Neill. The pair have an agreement that they will go halves on any money won and touchingly Mrs Lowell, who won the massive jackpot, has vowed she will be sticking to their rule.

Mrs Lowell said: ‘We always share whatever either of us wins and this time will be no different.

Mrs Lowell played the national bingo game and its platinum jackpot, netting them a win of £1,167,795.

Mrs Lowell first went to bingo as a child with her grandmother and so began a lifelong passion for the game; she was one of the first to join her local bingo club when it opened 16 months ago.

Astonishingly, Mrs Lowell has also told how she will be returning to work as a cleaner once all the fuss has died down and she will also continue to enjoy her bingo nights with Mrs O’Neill.
