Sex and Bingo
Ann Summers Bingo might sound like something we’ve invented as an April Fool’s joke, but the combination of Britain’s favourite gambling game and the red-hot sizzle of its most famous adult product retailer really does exist. We know, because we’ve visited the site and taken a long, hard look at every aspect of it. Just for journalistic purposes, of course.
Like the Ann Summers stores, Ann Summers bingo is aimed primarily at women. It features a “sexy male caller” who calls numbers in a unique bingo lingo you’d be hard pressed to hear in any respectable holiday camp or church hall. Phrases like “Let’s procreate, number 78” and “One night in heaven, number 37” are carefully uttered to stir the female players into a lust-fuelled frenzy. Whilst male players will find such lines quite funny, they will probably choose to mute them after a while.
Although Ann Summers Bingo is directed at women, there is plenty for men to take a look at here, not least the images of attractive ladies modelling all kinds of Ann Summers lingerie on the web site.
With Ann Summers having launched a successful bingo site and Playboy having launched a casino site, we don’t think that the combination of sex and gaming has run its course by any means.
