Rude Tube for Bingo Hollywood
When it comes to advertising your online bingo brand does sex sell? The reason we ask this question is that many brands feature women screaming orgasmically when winning a game but we have now found a viral campaign from one brand that would be fitting to show on Rude Tube for Bingo Hollywood! Not really our cup of tea and is it really likely to appeal to the fairer sex?
As we all know the gender that plays bingo online and offline most is women so why would Bingo Hollywood think that a 43 second viral commercial featuring a blank scream with a "Harry Met Sally" sound track of a woman faking an orgasm is going to appeal to the ladies? Is this brand trying to attract more men through their virtual doors or simply crossing the lines of what is acceptable to market a bingo brand?
Are we prudes? Far from it but it seems that the female orgasm is becoming more and more accepted as a tool for selling bingo. We previously saw an edition of the Joy of Bingo magazine feature an article how getting more "o's from your orgasm" and now this viral campagin from Bingo Hollywood.
The industry is awash with sites for players to choose from and whilst we understand that by writing about this commercial we are meeting the goals of the viral advert, that doesn't make it the right form of advertising.
Foxy Bingo have the right idea - there is a little bit of innuendo in their Grease take off with the mascot's "balls multiplying" and a lecherous look at his co-stars rear end but it isn't in your face, subtle works best in our opinion.
Take a look (more listen) at the Bingo Hollywood viral and let us know your thoughts:
