Obama family lends name to Gala Bingo charity drive

The stepmother of the US President elect Barack Obama, Mrs Keiza Obama has launched an online charity bingo game via popular online bingo operator Gala Bingo.

Mrs Obama freely admits to being a massive bingo enthusiast and frequently visits the local bingo club in the town where she lives.

Gala Bingo's long term commitment to raise cash for their chosen charity Sue Ryder Care has enabled the organisation to continue to support and care for sufferers of severe illnesses such as cancer, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease.

Now Keiza Obama has lent her name to the initiative and hopes to help Gala raise further funds for the charitable cause in the coming weeks.

Every night from 8pm to 9pm until Friday 23rd January in the City Club bingo room at Gala Bingo online, players can take part in Mrs Obama's bingo games and Gala will generously give 10p from every £1 wagered in the charity bingo games to Sue Ryder Care.

Mrs Obama, who moved to the UK to be closer to her daughter, will fly out to the United States this week for her now world-famous step-son’s inauguration as the next President of the USA.

She commented recently:

“I'm so proud of him. I sent him a message congratulating him. I am delighted to help Gala Bingo raise funds for the Sue Ryder Care charity. It is a really positive way of celebrating Barack's inauguration."
