NetPlay to launch 24 hour interactive bingo channel

Interactive TV gaming leaders, NetPlay TV, have announced that they will launch a brand new Freeview TV channel early in 2009 dedicated to providing interactive casino and bingo games to mass audiences.

The move comes after NetPlay conceded that online bingo players are beginning to look for new ways to play in addition to their established online bingo pursuits.

The channel will be broadcast 24 hours a day on Freeview channel 48 and will enable the nation’s growing army of bingo enthusiasts to take part in bingo games at any hour of the day or night.

Broadcasting on Freeview means that more than 80% of British households will instantly have access to the new channel.

Martin Higginson, CEO at NetPlay TV said in a statement:

"This is a major milestone for our business. Freeview is the largest digital TV platform in the UK with over 15.3 million homes using the service, and to secure a dedicated channel to broadcast our services is a real achievement for the whole team.

NetPlay TV now broadcasts its services, including Supercasino.com and Live Bingo on three of the four digital TV platforms, Freeview, Sky, and Freesat, giving it a total addressable audience of over 23 million homes in the UK.

We will now be able to drive people to our Freeview channel 48 and thus build loyalty to this destination. Allowing our customers to interact with live presenters is a real differentiator.

We firmly believe customer playing habits are changing, and as such more and more users are now demanding a 'live' gaming experience."

The new channel which will be aired under the Supercasino.com and Live Bingo brand names will be launched on Thursday 8th January 2009.
