Mecca Bingo named as new headline sponsors of Wigan Warriors

It has been reported that online bingo leader Mecca Bingo has agreed a new headline sponsorship deal with rugby league giants the Wigan Warriors.

The Wigan Warriors have been crowned rugby league champions no fewer than 18 times in the club’s history.

The new backing deal sees Mecca Bingo online as the headline sponsors for the forthcoming 2009 season with the option to continue the sponsorship for the 2010 season.

The new Wigan Warriors kit will feature the Mecca Bingo logo both front and back, with other online gamers and bingo operators Totesport featured on the sleeves of the new shirts.

The managing director of Rank Group, the parent company of Mecca Bingo said recently:

We look forward to supporting the Warriors in their efforts to achieve success on and off the field.”

The new kit will be worn from Sunday 8th February when the Wigan Warriors play their opening Super League match against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at the JJB stadium in Wigan.
