Mecca Bingo backs children's charity

Mecca Bingo, part of the Rank Group is at present offering their support to children's charity Whizz-Kidz which provides children with disabilities with the opportunity to manage more independent lives.

The services offered by Whizz-Kidz aims to ensure that disabled children receive the necessary mobility tools, support and advice early enough in their lives to enable them to be self sufficient as is possible.

A number of employees at the Mecca Bingo club in Exeter are taking part in a sponsored slim promotion which they started in May of this year, to help raise funds for the worthy cause, and hopes to raise somewhere in the region of £2,500 before the end of 2008. The participating members of staff are weighed in front of staff and bingo players each week, which they have claimed is a great motivation to lose weight.

Mecca Bingo has long been a well recognised and reputable brand in the world of bingo and currently entertains more than 3 million members between more than 120 UK land based bingo halls. Their accomplishments have been mirrored in the market of online Bingo and their online bingo community has increased in members progressively since it opened its virtual doors in 2005.
