Making a great bingo advert
With more and more online bingo sites' advertising on television we wonder what goes into making a great bingo advert? Like baking a cake, making an advert for online bingo (or any product or brand) requires great ingredients. As individuals we are sure that our readers have their very own favourite bingo commercial they have seen but here we look at what appears to be the main ingredient for a successful marketing campaign.
Now whilst some operators seem to believe that featuring a woman, laptop and bingo balls in any commercial is all that is required, as bingo players we are here to tell them different and of course, this is only our opinion, yours may vary.
The first and most important ingredient is to make your commercial relevant to your brand! Classic examples of the use of this ingredient in making a great bingo advert are Foxy Bingo and their fox and Moon Bingo with the two ladies on the moon. Another would the 888Ladies and their original marketing campaign showing Vic Reeves dressed as a woman, sadly branding they lost when moving onto 'bingo superstars'.
Another factor that helps toward making a great TV bingo advert is a theme song or background music. This can make the viewer sit up and take notice, again kudos has to go to Foxy Bingo for their two most recent campaigns featuring iconic songs like 'Funky Town' by Lipps Inc and more recently, in their latest advert,'You're the One that I Want' from Grease.
Ok, smaller sites may not have the budget of Foxy Bingo who reportedly spent £100,000 just on the rights to use the Grease song BUT the saying 'speculate to accumulate' is very true when it comes to advertising your brand be it bingo online or something else.
