Lucky numbers and bingo

When it comes to purchasing you cards at your favourite online bingo site is there a method to how you choose your cards or do you simply use the ‘quick buy’ option? Some players do combine lucky numbers and bingo when choosing their cards and try to ensure that family birthdays, special dates and lucky numbers are shown on the cards that they purchase but is this likely to improve their chances of winning?

If a player uses their lucky numbers and is religious about certain numbers having to be on their bingo cards then the likelihood is they are actually reducing their chances of winning. When you think about it logically, if you are insistent that your lucky number be on every bingo card that you buy you can then only win the game if that number is called.

A far better way of picking your bingo cards is to choose just a few that have your lucky numbers on and then let the bingo software randomly select the majority of your cards for you. This ensures that your lucky numbers are present but doesn’t reduce your chances of winning the game simply because you must have a certain number on your bingo cards.

Online bingo, like any bingo game, is a game of chance. Unlike poker where, although an element of luck in involved, there is a level of skill required to play the game. For bingo players it’s simply a case of having the bingo card that has all the right numbers on it and superstition, mascots or lucky numbers don’t really play a part in the bingo game.
