One of the key bingo operators in the UK, Gala Bingo made the unexpected declaration recently that they intend to pull out of the National Bingo Game.
The National Bingo Game is generally considered the most exciting part of the night during a visit to a land based bingo hall. Since it began in 1986 it has enjoyed rising popularity in an increasingly competitive market. Its target was to connect bingo halls across the UK and offer players access to vast cash prizes.
The National Bingo Game can even lay claim to the creation of the countries 1st bingo millionaires. With the exception of only Christmas Day the game can be participated in twice daily and with an estimated 500 bingo clubs taking part on a regular basis .it is believed that the game has paid out in excess of £1billion to winners in the last 21 years.
Gala represents a significant portion of the UK bingo businesses and the news was met with both surprise and sadness across the industry. It is not yet clear whether the National game will survive with a deficit of approximately one third of its revenue lost by the withdrawal of Gala.
In addition to its land based bingo commerce Gala Bingo, part of the renowned Gala Coral Europe Group has enjoyed substantial success with its online operations and is considered one of the UK's largest providers of online bingo entertainment. Their site is deemed to be unequalled in its consideration towards online participants. It is assumed that other operators may now opt to tighten their internet gaming interests as an alternative to pursuing the National Game in the future.
