Foxy Bingo does Grease

Foxy Bingo is one, if not THE, best known bingo brand in the UK industry and elevation to this point came through impressive marketing and of course their loveable mascot of the same name. Advertising this brand has proved to be extremely profitable and the new campaign sees Foxy Bingo go all Grease on the viewing public. Foxy becomes John Travolta and a cuddly young lady called Mandy plays Sandy to his Danny Zuko.

The theme tune for the new Foxy Bingo advert is a classic from the film, ‘You’re the One that I Want’ and whilst it isn’t the chills but the balls that are multiplying, it’s most definitely electrifying! Foxy Bingo has always managed to pull off great marketing campaigns and this is apparent in the last addition to their portfolio.

Not many online bingo sites can pull off a minute long commercial with minimal reference to the brand name and know that viewers will instantly know, simply by seeing the mascot, which site is being advertised. Watch the clip below and there is no direct mention of Foxy Bingo right until the end of the advert, 50 seconds into the whole commercial. There are ‘Foxy’ references throughout the ad, but none that say ‘Foxy Bingo’.

Is this cockiness on the part of Foxy Bingo? We don’t think so; it comes from great marketing, investment in the brand and a loveable mascot.

Already the feedback has started pouring in to Foxy HQ and it seems to be a mixed bag at the moment who have seen the TV Bingo clip. Some feel that certain aspects of the clip are a little ‘slimy’ and that Foxy has taken on a whole new persona whilst others see it as a bit of tongue in cheek fun.
