Bride bingo update
We recently bought you news of an offer that we felt many brides would turn their noses up at but a recent development has turned this 'tacky' promotion into one that has potential. Our bride bingo update is to redress the balance of our original article simply because further details of the promotion from an online bingo club puts the whole thing in a completely different light.
When we first read about the offer of £5,000 to have an online bingo club logo plastered across one bride’s wedding dress the instant reaction was that of a sneer and lots of turning up of noses. The original press release failed to reveal one pertinent detail, said logo does not have to be permanently attached to the dress! The idea is that the logo is attached with Velcro so the blushing bride need not have it emblazoned across her gown all day, simply long enough to have the publicity pictures for the online bingo club.
Although still not something many people would consider for £5,000, there are many couples who would love to get married but finances don’t allow – this promotion from the online bingo club running it may well attract a lot more applicants than we first thought now that the removal of the logo has been made clear in subsequent press releases.
What you can't knock the online bingo club for is that whoever thought of the promotion definitely thinks outside the proverbial 'bingo box' although we do see bridal bingo played this is something completely different! The idea does originate from a site called Pimp My Bride and a spoof April Fool last year saw funerals being sponsored!
