Bingo sessions arrive online

For the bingo player who plays at land based bingo halls the term 'bingo session' is one that they will know and understand. Bingo session is the term used to describe the cost attached to cards purchased for a specific period in a hall, usually with a one off fee that covers the price for all bingo tickets in that session. However bingo sessions have arrived online at a couple of sites and this sees players able to buy a set of tickets for one fee usually for an hour long session.

Two sites that we know of that have introduced the new bingo sessions are Ladbrokes Bingo and William Hill Bingo and an example of how the new online bingo sessions work are outlined below from William Hill Bingo’s £3,000 session taking place on 3rd April 2010.

For this online bingo session the player has the choice of purchasing either 6, 12, 24, 36,48 or 72 tickets for the hour of games starting at 9pm in their TV Lounge. Whichever package the player chooses there is one fee to be paid and this fee means that a player has their chosen amount of tickets in all ten games being played in the one hour long bingo session. All packages, with the exception of the 6 bingo cards package, offer the online bingo player savings. Take a look at the table below:

Example taken from William Hill Bingo

  • 6 tickets - total cost £3
  • 12 tickets – total cost £4.50 – total saving £1.50
  • 24 tickets – total cost £7.50 – total saving £4.50
  • 36 tickets – total cost £10.50 – total saving £7.50
  • 48 tickets – total cost £13.50 – total saving £10.50
  • 72 tickets – total cost £19.50 – total saving £16.50

It goes without saying, the same as in a land based bingo hall, that ticket packages for the bingo sessions have to be bought in advance to get the full benefit of the savings. However a player can still participate in the games but no savings will be made.
