Bingo forum or fan page?
We all know that online bingo is not just about the games and the chance of winning large amounts of money. For a lot of people the social side of the game is just as import, the chance to 'meet' and chat with like minded people from the comfort of your own home is a real bonus for a lot of people. Thanks to the social networking revolution bingo sites now have more ways then ever to keep in touch with their players but which is the best, bingo forum or fan page?
Going back twelve months you would have found that the majority of online bingo sites would have had their own bingo forum. Forums are great for the players because they allow them to get together with their friends and discuss not only issues relating to bingo but just about anything else you could think of. The trouble with these forums though is you would often find them very cliquey and if you got on the wrong side of some of the more established players or even the moderators could very easily find yourself pushed to one side or in some cases even banned from the forum.
These days, thanks to the evolution of Facebook, fan pages are now favoured over forums. Online bingo sites prefer fan pages as they allow them to have more control over the content whilst giving them a pool of dedicated players making targeted marketing extremely easy. Probably the most success fan page has to be Foxy Bingo, they run daily promotions specifically for their fans and have now even launched an interactive bingo games with prizes up for grabs to the top scorers.
Both online bingo forums and fan pages have their advantages and disadvantages, forums are great for building a community but take a lot of running to be a success, fan pages on the other hand allow internet bingo sites to use the latest viral marketing techniques to specifically target their most loyal players and reward them.
So which is the best bingo forum or fan page? In an ideal world online bingo sites would offer both but as dedicated bingo players we prefer fan pages that give you access to the latest deals and bingo promotions on a real time basis with the minimum of fuss. Combine this with the power of Facebook and similar social networking sites with their millions of users you can see why internet bingo sites have jumped on the bandwagon and are thriving.
