A brand new marketing campaign is being launched by the National Bingo Game Association to promote what will the biggest bingo game in the UK - one aptly known as the "Big N". The Big N will give players the chance to win more money than any other bingo game.
The first top prize will be worth £1 million, and it is expected that such payouts will become commonplace, making bingo just as appealing to those wanting a big win as the National Lottery is.
The Big N will be advertised on television channels such as Channel 4, ITV1, Five and digital channels, as well as in newspapers and magazines, on billboards and online. All of this is possible thanks to an enlightened slackening of television advertising regulations which is part of the Gambling Act 2005 that came into force on 1 September.
The Big N game itself launches on Saturday 15 September, and can be played at any one of the 500 networked bingo clubs across the country. Thanks to new rules which state that bingo operators do not have to pay out all of the stakes taken in every game, the Big N jackpot will benefit from rollovers in a similar way to the lottery, and this should result in some truly incredible wins in the future.
Players will see how much the jackpot is when they purchase their tickets, thanks to digital displays that show the total growing in real time. The more players who participate, the larger jackpots will tend to be, and there are currently three million regular bingo players in the country. This means that, for the first time ever, UK bingo players will have a great chance of winning life-changing sums of money from their favourite game.
The National Bingo Game Association has been around for 21 years, and the launch of the Big N demonstrated that it still knows how to move things forward in style. "It is great to see that after 21 years, we are still shaking things up with the largest ever jackpot game in bingo," said National Bingo Game Association spokesman Steve Baldwin.
