Over the last couple of months we have seen a number of major players in the online bingo industry change bingo software platforms and today news broke that Betfred Bingo are to make a move from Playtech, their current software provider, to Virtue Fusion. Playtech has always been one of the lesser known bingo software platforms and the move by such a big name in the gaming industry must be a blow.

As yet it is unclear as to whether current members of Betfred will need to re register when Betfred  Bingo makes a move nor are there definitive dates as to when the change will be made. A recent new sign up for Playtech saw Betfair Bingo agree to use the software for their new online bingo site soon to launch but comparatively speaking Virtue Fusion seems to have the edge over many operators in the bingo space recently.

For bingo players, when Betfred Bingo makes a move to Virtue Fusion, the gaming experience on the Virtue Fusion platform is of a superior quality to that on Playtech although recent changes to the Playtech bingo software have seen an improved flash version of the game available to online bingo players.
