Tombola Bingo defies the downturn with recruitment drive

A report published recently in the Northern Echo revealed that popular online bingo operator Tombola Bingo is set to launch a recruitment drive in a bid to enrol 30 new employees over the coming weeks.

The news came as Tombola completed a recruitment drive which had already seen them employ 30 new members of staff based at its headquarters in Sunderland.

When the new recruitment drive is over, Tombola’s headquarters will employ a total of 130 members of staff.

The much publicised separation between Tombola and Sun Bingo at the end of August 2008 saw Tombola go all out to entice online bingo players to their own bingo site. They launched an intensive media campaign and went on to launch some well received new online bingo games including the ever popular 90 ball 'Bingo Lite', costing as little as 2p per play.

Dawn Clayton, Tombola's marketing manager said recently:-

“The job creation was proof that the industry was thriving despite the widespread gloom in the economy.

Sadly, there are few companies who can report positive performance recently, but in the last three months we have added 30 new members to the team and that pattern will be repeated by adding 30 more in the coming months.

We are thrilled with the way online bingo players across the UK have responded to our fun approach to online entertainment and now we’re in a great position to share our success with job-seekers in this region.”
