888 to launch business to business online bingo operations

Egaming group 888 Group Plc has revealed that it has agreed a contract to launch three brand new online bingo networks for third party businesses as it continues to cash in on the female dominated area of the online bingo market.

888.com, which operates popular online bingo site 888ladies.com which is aimed primarily at the female market, is said to be in the initial stages of building a business to business (or B2B) venture which will operate networks for industry competitors of 888 Ladies Bingo.

Online bingo operators Wink Bingo and Foxy Bingo are thought to be interested in the B2B operations.

The Chief Executive of the 888 Group, Gigi Levy, confirmed that online bingo is "the fastest growing segment in the online gaming industry". He also said that he believed that the online bingo industry had been much advanced by increasing demand from the female end of the market but that female gamers had been sometimes overlooked in the egaming marketplace.

During the period January to September 2008, revenue from online bingo for the 888 Group was £17.7million, nearly 100% up on the same period in 2007.
