When it comes to bingo on TV there are a couple of different ways to define this term. It could be that you have seen TV Bingo by way of a commercial during your ad breaks for many of the online bingo sites available. Alternatively you may have played bingo on TV by way of your interactive button or on many of the cable channels and more recently shows like Bingo Stars from Challenge Jackpot.
However you have found TV Bingo it has proved to be instrumental to the success of online bingo with some of the best loved names in bingo offering up some really impressive campaigns on our television screens.
The most memorable of the TV Bingo campaigns has to be the Foxy Bingo adverts; the recent “He’s Back” campaign launched by Cashcade saw much speculation as to who was back and where from resulting in a huge interest in their online bingo site.
Lesser known sites like Jackpot City Bingo also have a presence on television and you may also have seen TV Bingo adverts for Crown Bingo, Wink Bingo and of course, Cheeky Bingo. The bigger online bingo sites tend to go for advertising in the commercial breaks on the terrestrial channels whilst sites with a smaller budget advertise on cable television channels like Living.
We have seen sponsorship deals struck up between The Jeremy Kyle Show and all of the CashCade bingo brands (Think Bingo, Foxy Bingo and Cheeky Bingo) and Family Fortunes recently saw a stint with commercial breaks advertising supplied by Wink Bingo.
When it comes to playing bingo on TV there are a number of sites that offer this option to their players with Gala Bingo being the most successful offering. Smaller sites like Bingo Joy have also ventured into this medium with some success.
Bingo Night Live, although no longer running, proved to be very popular when it comes to TV Bingo and the free bingo games being offered attracted many viewers and raised the profile of online bingo with the ITV Bingo sponsorship. However once the program ended it was only a short while later than ITV Bingo ceased to operate.
Bingo advertising on television seems to be growing in popularity and it isn’t very often nowadays that you can spend an evening glued to the box without seeing at least one advert for online bingo. There seems to be three major components to a TV Bingo advert; a woman, some bingo balls and a lap top or PC – check out any of the TV Bingo commercials and each will contain at least two of the three components!
Advertising for online bingo is sure to increase and with that comes the continued success of the online bingo industry!
