Progressive Jackpots
When we first started playing bingo online there were three basic types of jackpots that we were able to win; the first was the game jackpot, the second a coverall jackpot and lastly the progressive jackpots. Each jackpot is different but the one that can reach the headiest of heights if the progressive. To date many online bingo sites still have progressive jackpots on offer and players love them.
These have been known to grow to tens of thousands of pounds (or site currency) and winning these types of jackpots vary from site to site and from bingo game to game.
Progressive jackpots continue to grow with every bingo ticket that is purchased, a percentage of ticket sales in each game is allocated to the progressive jackpot prize pool.
For the purpose of example we will use Wink Bingo’s progressive jackpots – these are pretty much industry standard but there are variations from online bingo site to site. It is usual for details of how to win a sites progressive jackpots to be available in the FAQ section or if you are unsure, ask your bingo chat host.
At Wink Bingo there are two progressive jackpots, one for 75 ball bingo and the other for 90 ball bingo. With the 75 ball bingo progressive jackpot this site varies from others in that instead of changing the number of balls required to win the progressive jackpot for each pattern, Wink Bingo have chosen just to make the progressive available to win on their ‘MoneyBall pattern’. Other sites will simply vary the numbers of calls dependant on the pattern that is being played.
The Wink Bingo MoneyBall pattern is played in one room only, The Hangout, and the special pattern required to scoop the progressive jackpot is played three times an hour from 7pm right through until midnight. To be a winner you need to call bingo in 35 numbers or less (just 12 are needed to complete the MoneyBall pattern). Once the progressive jackpot has been won it will reset and start growing again from £250.
Any of the 90 ball progressive jackpots are pretty easy to follow, win the full house in the number of calls (or less) that the online bingo site has stipulated and the jackpot will be yours.
