Making a Night of It

One of the things that people love about traditional bingo is that it offers them a great night out with their friends - a few hours of blissful escape from the stresses of work and the heat of the kitchen. Online bingo can be just as useful as an escape, but for the best possible experience here are some tips to help you make a real night (or day) of it...

Get Some Tunes

Bingo is as much about atmosphere as it is the game itself. The ability to chat with other players online goes a long way to making the experience different every time you play, but having some of your favourite bingo-mood tunes playing in the background at the same time can really help you to recreate the party atmosphere.

Some Snacks

The great thing about playing online bingo is that you can snack on whatever you want as you play. Whereas you might be restricted to crisps, fries or chocolate when playing at a bingo club, you can go wild when you're playing bingo at home. Chicken Masala, anyone?

A Tipple

Let's be honest, having a drink or two is something that makes bingo, well... bingo. Whether it's a non-alcoholic coke with lemon (because you need to pick the kids up from school) or something a tad stronger, having a cold one on your desk as you play is a great way of letting your hair down. Just don't go overboard because you may need your wits about you to claim any progressive jackpot you might be lucky enough to win!

Mood Lighting

You don't have to play online bingo with all the lights on, because you have nothing to daub. An evening bingo session in front of the PC can be much more enjoyable with the lights dimmed, as it fools your brain into thinking you're really there in the virtual bingo room.

Friends

You can always chat with other players in the bingo room, but if you want to totally recreate a night out why not arrange to play online with a few offline friends? If your computer permits it you could chat using voice via MSN Messenger and have the kind of conversation you'd enjoy in a regular club.

There's no need to make every online bingo session a big deal, but sometimes it's nice to put in a bit of extra preparation and enjoy a higher level of enjoyment as a result. Good luck!
